Okay, the pre-season has started, does this site have any news or practice speeds or predictions or Kirk Shelmerdine Racing related chatter? Are there potential sponsors lined up? Who will be the KSR crew chief? How many races did KSR attempt to qualify in '06? How many did they make? If you want chatter on your board, you have to post things that will inspire a little conversation. The best thing going lately is a discussion about Joe not spending enough time doing work on the board. From some 16 yo kid, no less, who has no idea about balancing time with a girlfriend and a race car, and a job and bills. Thats the kind of conversation that should be held at the bowling alley or the drag strip.

Thanks, ClevelandSteamer, I love the name, by the way, funny as...well, you know. I was not familiar with www.racingone.com and I will check that site much deeper. Kirk's speed is encouraging. Daytona's qualifying method bodes well for Kirk who may race better than he can turn a one or two lap time, cold. Any idea if KSR has a back-up car or practiced a 27B? I'm curious if any member on this site is regularly familiar with the 27 team, lives nearby, or visits the shop and talks to the team, or are we all just casual fans from afar.

I know Kirk didn't test a 27B.. I don't think he has a true backup for the restrictor plate tracks.. honestly, if I remember right, he has a plate car, an intermediate car (the one from Lowe's), a short track car (like at Loudon), and a road course car.. technically, if something would happen to the plate car, he'd probably bring out the intermediate car and try his best, but it's not a real plate car
