Hey guys,
I am sorry that I have not been around as much lately, feel free to express your hate at me if there is any. I have failed here but I do have ideas on how to return NRN back to a decent place again.
We had an "interesting" nosedive during the season last year but guess what, we have 25+ races remaining in the NEXTEL CUP season and we can get this place back to being great.
So you may be asking yourself, what can I do? Short and sweet here we go:
1) - Bringing back the old crowd Email, PM from other boards, remind. We need to get some of our older members back to posting at a normal rate. JohnnyD, Nascarfan49, HunterNHank, etc. this is the first move to get this place up and running again. I feel this is the first step.
Now, once we can return the old crowd again, I'll be posting the next step.

if any of you (who are still here) still remember, I had my own site prior to this one. I started it completely from scratch. within a month or two my message board was up to around 20 daily posters. and most of them werent carry overs from other boards i was part of.
what i did was write a ton of articles that were eventually linked to jayski. i would smother links to the message board all over the articles. this is how you bring in traffic to a message board.
word of mouth simply doesn't do it. there are already so many message boards out there.
so what we need to do, i think all we have left here is Mike, Ryan Ray, Paul, Shorty, and myself... is get some articles together. get paul to do his thing, thats really the only hope for making this a booming place ever again.
at the same time, if our small group we have here continues to do our thing and can keep steady conversation, we will slowly lure more people in.

Remove Paul as an Admin/moderator.
He is responsible for the nosedive

Nah, you were active for a short period afterwards!
Believe me, I have thought of various ways that can return this place to a stomping ground again...

If we can get the old members back like it used to be then we can have one heck of a forum. Heck we can even have one heck of a fantasy game

One of those old ideas is moving to InvisionFree. The board will look much better and if you want a taste of it (I know, that's what she said....) z14.invisionfree.com/Sports_Net/index.phpMaybe it's time we start anew.

I think we should stay here or else we risk losing members.

How do we risk losing members? Every board that's created on IF goes into the IF Directory and we could get new members.
We have about 6 or 7 members that keep showing up. It's worth a try.

I'm going to set up a forum there and we can poke around with it and decide as a group if we want to switch. I'm not totally opposed, I just have some concerns that I want to talk over with you.
