now I know in NASCAR generally Mike Skinner is not an under-dog, A truck champion who is still very competitive in trucks. BUT as far as NASCAR Nextel Cup these days he is, driving for the 34 or the 37 any time he makes a ditch effort to make the field. I'm just a huge Mike Skinner fan and am cheering for him. Hoping he's one of Toyata's drivers next year, because he was one of the 1st drivers Toyata hired for their trucks and he's been with them a long ways. I'm cheering for a once very competitive Cup driver, finishing 10th and 12th in points in his best years for RCR. Before Jeff Burton this year he was statistically the best the 31 had run. I'm just hoping he returns to at least a mediocre cup driver, and can one day run mid-pack at least.

well now, Mike ran competitive in the Busch race. Top 5 or 10 most of the day, ended up with a top 15

I still can't believe that he didn't make the cup race. That would have been great to see him pulling triple duty
