Champ Car co-owner Kevin Kalkhoven was Indy Racing League founder Tony George's guest at the 90th Indianapolis 500 but it was all social and no business.
"I had a very good time, it was a great race and Tony was a very gracious host," said Kalkhoven, who got up at 4 p.m. in his San Jose home, flew to Indy and then jetted right back to California after the race.
Kalkhoven, who has been meeting with George for the past four months about unifying open wheel racing, had not been to the Indy 500 since Graham Hill's victory in 1966.
I read this over at Champcar.com I think they better hurry and get merged with Danica and Marco stepping up. Helio, Hornish, Kannon and Wheldon tearing up the track the IRL seems to be picking up speed. Not to mention the old timers coming back at Indy it was nice to see Little Al and Michael A. mix it up. Meanwhile Cart/Champ what ever seems to be leaving the US for S. Korea, 3 in Canade, 2 in Mexico and one down under. They booked San Jose Ca. that an American hot bed right there.

I absolutely agree. Think about the competition if Champ Car/ IndyCar merged!
Danica Patrick vs. Katherine Legge
Sam Hornish Jr. vs. A.J. Allmendinger
Dan Wheldon vs. Sebastion Bourdais
Tony Kanaan vs. Paul Tracy
These would be priceless!!!
